ERIE — Erie football lost its first league game since 2020, falling to Mullen 18-6 on Friday night.

Mason Bonner, the Mustangs’ 6-foot-7 Michigan tight end commit, had the big-time catches one could’ve predicted from 247Sports and On3’s No. 6 best player out of Colorado’s 2026 class. Yet his biggest play of the night may have been wrangling Oregon State pledge Braylon Toliver behind the line on fourth-and-goal from inside the 1-yard line in the game’s first possession.

The Tigers (5-3, 2-1 5A Front Range-South League) went on to sputter offensively until the fourth quarter, when an incompletion call in the endzone may have gotten in the way of an interesting finish.
