Norwin was the bottom-feeder in the Quad-County conference last season after a dismal 2-8 overall that saw the team end 2024 with an eight-game losing streak.

Tristian Josephic’s 29-yard field goal with 5 seconds to play lifted Class 6A No. 3-ranked Norwin (6-3, 3-2) to a 24-21 triumph against No. 4-ranked Canon-McMillan (4-5, 2-3) and locked up the school’s first postseason berth in the process. With a win next week against a suddenly resurgent Mt. Lebanon squad, the Knights would lock up no worse than the No. 3 seed.
