Riverside had scored 40 or more points in its previous four games and was able to continue its recent success in a Friday night district matchup against West St. John.

Riverside extended its scoring streak to five games in a 51-6 win over West St. John during its homecoming game at Mickey Roussel Field. Senior quarterback Brock Bourgeois finished with four touchdown passes on a night that saw four Riverside players find the end zone.

Bourgeois helped set the tone for Riverside with a 9-yard touchdown completion to sophomore Chris Becknel for the first points of the game. Becknel was one of three Riverside players to score twice along with senior Jayden Obiekwe and sophomore Kenric “Boogie” Johnson.
