A Scots baby is believed to be the only person in the world living with two rare and incurable conditions which may leave him unable to walk or talk. ‌

Joey Lister was born in Glasgow on March 12 and has spent his whole life so far in hospital . ‌

His parents Colin and Ashley, from Cardenden, Fife, were told during the pregnancy that he had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a progressive muscle-wasting condition. ‌

Just a week later, they were given more upsetting news, that he would also be born with the developmental disorder Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CDLS), and may never be able to walk or talk .

To the knowledge of doctors, Joey is the only person in the world recorded as having both conditions together. He is currently being cared for at the Royal H
