The Darian DeVries era at Indiana began with a strange but welcome sight for Hoosiers fans – a barrage of 3-pointers.

Indiana 15 of 30 of 3-pointers in a 107-46 win over NAIA and Crossroads League foe Marian in an exhibition game at Assembly Hall on Friday.

Tucker DeVries led IU with 23 points in the first half, while freshman Trent Sisley also scored 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting) with four 3-pointers. Six different players hit a 3-pointer. The coach’s son was 7 of 9 from the field, 5 of 7 from 3 and had six assists and five rebounds. Sisley hit all four of his 3-point attempts and added eight rebounds.

Also for IU, Sam Alexis had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Reed Bailey and Tayton Conerway each scored 10.

Indiana finished with 27 assists to 10 turnovers.
