HAMPTON, Neb. (KSNB) - Hampton High School will co-op with Heartland High School in Henderson for football next season. The two schools have been co-op for all other sports this year.
The agreement between the schools will be for two years, and they will be known as the Bearcats together.
For the final regulars season home game, Hampton High School alumni celebrated the football program, which has been rebuilt under Coach Jereme Jones over the past four years.
Jones has an overall record of 21-12 and has led the team to three straight playoff appearances. The Hawks are looking to make another run into November this year before the merger.
