EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOWT) - Top-ranked Nebraska volleyball extended its winning streak to 17 matches with its eighth straight sweep, defeating Michigan State Friday night.
The Huskers won the sets 25-15, 25-18, 25-20 before a Spartan school-record crowd of 11,578 at the Breslin Center.
The Huskers (17-0, 7-0 Big Ten) hit .383 while holding Michigan State (14-3, 4-3) to .209. Junior outside hitter Harper Murray, a Michigan native, led Nebraska with 13 kills on .500 hitting.
Senior outside hitter Taylor Landfair added eight kills on .500 hitting, while freshman opposite Virginia Adriano finished with seven kills and three blocks.
Senior middle blocker Rebekah Allick and junior middle Andi Jackson combined for 11 kills and nine blocks, each hitting better than .400.
