SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Friday Night Hoops made its return for another night.

This is a collaboration between the South Bend Venues Parks and Arts and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor.

The event was the second event of the year, and organizers say they’ll have the event every first and third Friday until the end of this year.

This free event offers local school kids the chance to socialize with their peers, learn more about basketball games and rules, and have some free food.

“What I most like about this program is because I really feel like I’ve met a lot of new people here,” said Liv Defauw, a South Bend middle school student. “And it gives me a chance to kind of just come and play and have fun.”
