(FOX40.COM) — A man was arrested for impersonating a police officer and initiating a traffic stop in Stockton on Thursday, the local police department said.
According to the Stockton Police Department, a woman was driving near West Lane and Alpine Road around 7 p.m. when the suspect pulled up next to her vehicle and flashed strobing red and blue lights.
The man identified himself as an officer, police said.
The woman pulled over, then realized the man was not a police officer and recorded a video of him on her cell phone.
According to police, the suspect left but was later found and arrested.
The man is facing charges of impersonating a police officer and false imprisonment.
