MOUNT CARMEL — After experiencing sluggish starts to the season, both Mount Carmel and Milton came into Friday’s matchup seeking to continue hot streaks.

The Red Tornadoes scored on the first play of scrimmage, rolled up more than 400 yards of offense, and overcame the Black Panthers' dominant ground game for a 48-25 Heartland Athletic Conference-Division II win at the Silver Bowl.
