GRUNDY CENTER - (KWWL)--The Grundy Center Spartans continued their winning ways with a 49-0 shutout of Eagle Grove. The win marks the Spartans 47th straight victory. The defending state champs have won 3 straight state championships in 3 consecutive perfect seasons. That means the 14 seniors on the team have never lost a game. Senior QB Judd Jirovsky opened the game with a 19-yard TD pass to Pete Lebo. The two connected again for another score later in the 1st quarter. Lebo would add a rushing TD in the 2nd quarter, while Jirovsky would connect with Cash Combs on a TD pass a few minutes later. The Spartans defense held strong, keeping the Eagles off the scoreboard.
