UPLAND — It’s been a historic season for the Western Christian football team, but the job isn’t finished yet.

For the first time in program history, the Lancers remain undefeated at home after handing Whittier Christian a 55-20 loss on Friday night. The Lancers have two games remaining before the CIF playoffs begin.

“When I got the opportunity to take over at Western, I came into this field and saw these young men, and they’re incredibly talented.” Western Christian head coach Matt Hoekstra said. “Because of their hard work, they have an opportunity to do something special beyond the first 10 games.”

The Lancers and Rim of the World remain the only unbeaten teams in the IE Varsity coverage area. Rim of the World captured a win against San Gorgonio. Western Christian moves to 8-0 overall
