IndiGo , one of the largest airlines in India, has signed a contract with Airbus confirming the order for 30 Airbus A530 aircraft. After confirming the order with Airbus, IndiGo’s wide-body order will be doubled to 60. IndiGo and Airbus had already signed a Memorandum of Understanding for these additional 30 aircraft at the IATA AGM held in New Delhi in June this year.

In all, the company has purchase rights for 40 more aircraft with Airbus.

Earlier in April 2024, the Indian passenger airline signed the purchase rights for 70 A350-900 aircraft with the French aircraft manufacturer.
