100 Years Ago, 1925: The entire enrollment of Chester High School turned out Friday afternoon to cheer their football team off as they left by bus from in front of the school for Gettysburg, where they play the team representing the high school from that place Saturday. The team accompanied by several officials and Charles “Pard” Larkin, the coach, boarded “Miss Chester,” a commodious bus, shortly after the noon recess. Prior to their leaving, the vehicle stopped in front of the Ninth Street entrance and all the pupils of the school turned out en masse and after going through several of the school’s yells, gave the game three rousing cheers as they departed.
