The “No Kings” march – billed as a nationwide “grassroots” citizen uprising to protest President Donald Trump – is actually a slick, well-funded campaign orchestrated and paid for by special interest groups.

The rally, scheduled for Saturday with marches around the country, including in Boston, is being sponsored by liberal groups like the ACLU, and left-wing unions, including the Mass Teachers’ Union.

Fearful of violence breaking out, the march has been re-branded as the “No Kings Day of Peaceful Action.” Mayor Michelle Wu is the headline speaker for the rally on Boston Common.
