Nearly 100 No Kings demonstrations are planned across Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 18, as a collective response to President Donald Trump's policies and actions, according to organizers.

"This isn’t just politics. It’s democracy versus dictatorship. And together, we’re choosing democracy," according to the No Kings website.

The demonstrations are expected to bring thousands of Michigan residents to the streets, for the second time this year.

"Recognizing the historical and central importance of protests and demonstrations, the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects your right to protest, assemble, and petition," the ACLU says on its website.
