LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)-- It’s time to meet your new Hometown Hero — someone who’s changing lives one paw at a time.

Jackie Becker is the Executive Director of Natalie’s Second Chance Dog Shelter , a no-kill shelter in Lafayette that has become a safe haven for dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds. Odds are, if you’re from the area, you’ve heard of her — or at least of the work being done at Natalie’s.

“They’re more than a number,” Becker says. “As a matter of fact, I could not tell you their kennel number to save my life. But I can tell you their name, I can tell you their story, and I can tell you exactly where they are in our shelter.”
