Recovery first
I agree with Coun. Susan Stevenson in promoting Ontario’s recovery-oriented systems of care rather than London’s harm-reduction model.
Addictions, mental health and homelessness are similar in all cities in Ontario. Would it not make sense for London to adopt a strategic plan which the provincial and federal governments favour?
Why would we not get into the lane senior governments would prefer us to be in, so we can take full advantage of all supports?
I have trouble accepting the harm-reduction approach, which allows the addicted to choose their time to seek help. I believe the best time to start recovery is now.
