Two Bengaluru women fell prey to a violent robbery in Bengaluru last month after two bike-borne men robbed them and ran away with gold jewellery worth around Rs 7 lakh. During the incident, which was caught on CCTV camera, a robber slashed two fingers of one of the women who tried to resist, police said. One of the accused has been arrested.

The robbery took place in Girinagar area on September 13 when the two women, identified as Usha and Varalakshmi, were intersected by the accused – Praveen and Yogananda – near Eashwari Nagar while they were returning after attending a Ganesh festival orchestra.
