NEW DELHI: Former cricketer and current chief selector of the Indian team Ajit Agarkar has made some interesting comments about his career. He said that the current position of selector is the most difficult of his career, more so than being a player or commentator. He clarified that this job has the responsibility of shaping the careers of many, and it is impossible to please everyone.
Agarkar, who retired from cricket in 2007 and turned to commentary, later became the chairman of the BCCI's selection committee. When asked about his cricketing career, Agarkar said that the job of selector was the toughest but that he was most satisfied when he was a player.
