With the Mariners heading to Toronto, the Seahawks playing Monday night, and both the Sounders and Huskies on the road, Seattle drivers can expect a quiet weekend on the roads — except for the continued work on Interstate 5.
That’s right, it’s another Revive I-5 weekend, with two southbound lanes of the interstate blocked for drainage improvements at the Ship Canal Bridge.
The work — which will not be delayed by any amount of rain — was scheduled to start at 11 p.m. Friday and wrap up before Monday morning’s commute, at 5 a.m. Two lanes will be closed, and the express lanes will point south all weekend.
This is the second of six Revive I-5 weekends, as contractors prepare the bridge for next year’s deck rehabilitation projects. The others are Oct. 31-Nov. 3, Nov. 21-24, Dec. 5-8 and Jan
