STATE COLLEGE — It’s been a whirlwind week for Penn State football, from firing James Franklin to losing starting quarterback Drew Allar for the season with a broken ankle .

The focus has hardly been on the fact that there’s actually a football game for the Nittany Lions to play on Saturday at Iowa. It’s a difficult one, no less, in a notoriously hostile Kinnick Stadium.
