Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress on Saturday said it is weighing all options regarding its participation in the upcoming bypolls for the Budgam and Nagrota assembly seats scheduled for November 11, even as the National Conference (NC) offered support to the party in one of the two constituencies.

The bypolls—set to be the first major political test since the Union territory’s last electoral exercise—will be held in Budgam in the Valley and Nagrota in the Jammu region.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had on Friday announced that while the NC would field its candidate from Budgam, it was ready to back the Congress in Nagrota if the latter decided to contest.
