We’re reminded often lately Quebec is a secular society that will no longer tolerate religious displays in public spaces, whether praying in parks or wearing visible religious symbols in daycares.
As our premier once said: Secularism is part of Quebec’s distinct “identity and values … because in Quebec that’s how we live.”
Well Mr. Legault: As a lifelong secular Quebecer driving my car through supposedly secular Montreal last week, I was shocked to see many disturbing religious symbols still being flaunted everywhere.
