THE AHMEDABAD Medical Association (AMA) and Ahmedabad Family Physicians Association (AFPA) on Saturday announced a list of 85 names and numbers of doctors who will remain on call throughout the festivities to deal with emergencies.

Dr Jignesh Shah, who recently took over as AMA president, said 250-300 calls are received by the panel of doctors each year.

In a statement on Saturday, the AMA said, “During the Diwali festival, Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA) and Ahmedabad Family Physicians Association (AFPA) have launched ‘Doctor on Call’ Diwali medical helpline for community health.
