Shoes for a Cure is making a splash in Miami Design District this weekend to raise money for breast cancer research.

More than 20 brands, including Tom Ford, Valentino and Ferragamo, are hosting retail activations through Oct. 19 for key clients and donors. A percentage of sales will benefit the Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami health system.

The effort kicked off with a festive dinner at Mother Wolf restaurant on Thursday, in collaboration with Chef Evan Funke. The night featured a silent auction with one-of-a-kind pieces and experiences.
