Bob Myers leaves ESPN to join Josh Harris-led group as president of sports
Bob Myers is on the move. The former NBA executive is leaving his role at ESPN to become president of sports for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE), the Josh Harris and David Blitzer-led organization that owns and operates multiple major sports organizations.
HBSE’s sports properties include the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, NHL’s New Jersey Devils, Premier League’s Crystal Palace, as well as an investment in the Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR team. Myers — the architect behind the core of the Golden State Warriors’ team that has won four NBA championships since 2015 — will oversee the entire HBSE portfolio.
