A young Pekingese named Porter is ready for a new home after being rescued from an orchard where he was found alone and injured, according to Mell’s Mutts.

Rescuers believe Porter, about a year old, had been dumped and hit by a car before he was brought in six weeks ago. Since then, he has fully recovered.

Described as “adorable” with a “spicy side,” Porter is eager to learn and highly treat-motivated.

Mell’s Mutts said he has plenty of energy but also enjoys curling up in a lap to watch TV.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup.
