NEW CASTLE, Pa. - An arson investigation is underway after a New Castle home went up in flames with no one inside.

According to the New Castle Fire Chief Michael Kobbe, the call came in around 3:50 a.m. about a fire on Bleakley Avenue.

The fire crews arrived on scene to find no one injured and no one inside. The homeowners arrived shortly after.

The cause of the fire is unclear, but initial investigations determined that the fire was likely started from the outside.

The case was turned over to the police, who are launching an arson investigation.
