Sporting Club Delhi was on Saturday officially launched as the latest football club to represent the national capital in top flight football in the country. The club is set to make its debut in the Super Cup, which is scheduled to start on October 25. The club has been rebranded from Hyderabad FC, who had won the Indian Super League (ISL) once in the 2021/22 season.

Hyderabad FC had been bought by the, Jindal Football Private Limited, a part of BC Jindal Group, from its earlier owners last year and the shift to Delhi comes after that.
