Eddy Spytz is coming home.

The 16-year-old Oak Bay native is trading the green and brown of the WHL's Everett Silvertips for the gold and black of the BCHL's Victoria Grizzlies, and he couldn’t be more excited to skate for the team he grew up watching.

“I’m super pumped. I remember growing up watching the Grizzlies with guys like Matthew Wood and Alex Newhook. It’s pretty cool to finally play for a hometown team,” Spytz told Goldstream News Gazette. “After training camp in Everett in September, my agent and I drew up a plan, and the Grizzlies were at the top of that list.”

Spytz grew up playing minor hockey with the Victoria Racquet Club Kings before moving on to the U14 Island Wild and eventually joining St. George’s Prep in the CSSHL for Grades 9 and 10.
