It’s rare that any Pittsburgh Steelers coordinators are in talks of getting head coach gigs. Mike Tomlin has never hired an assistant who has gone on to be a head coach in the NFL, but that could change this offseason.
The Tennessee Titans were the first team to fire their head coach, relieving Brian Callahan of his duties earlier this week. While listing candidates to be the next man in charge in Tennessee, Dianna Russini of The Athletic names Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith as one of the top options.
