The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) released statements where both cricketing bodies condemned the tragic attack in Afghanistan's Paktika province, which claimed the lives of three young cricketers.
According to an earlier statement made by the Afghanistan Cricket Board, it was revealed that three cricketers from the Urgun district in Paktika province were targeted by the Pakistani regime.
Three players (Kabeer, Sibghatullah and Haroon) alongside 5 other fellow countrymen from Urgun District were martyred , and seven others were injured. They were returning home after taking part in a friendly cricket match, following which, they were targeted, as mentioned in the ACB's statement.
