New Delhi, Oct 18: India’s Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has emphasized the country’s ambitious digital transformation agenda, describing data as “the new oil” and data centres as “the new refineries.”
Vaishnaw highlighted the government’s vision of Aatmanirbharta, which aims to become self-sufficient in critical minerals and digital infrastructure in the coming years. He also highlighted India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and its focus on digital credit to make financial services more accessible through technology.
