Police apprehended one person after a man was shot and killed during a fight in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at approximately 10:37 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of North Leavitt near West Armitage Avenue. According to police, a suspect shot a 53-year-old man during a domestic altercation inside a home.

The victim was shot multiple times and transported by paramedics to an area hospital, where he later died. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and as of Saturday morning, charges were pending.

Area Three detectives were conducting an investigation.
