Police are investigating a stabbing incident in Waterbury on Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the 200 block Walnut Street around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday on a report of an adult man who had been stabbed, according to the Waterbury Police Department .

Arriving officers located a 31-year-old man who had sustained stab wounds, police said. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation. No further information was available at this time.
