GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Florida Gators (2-4, 1-2 SEC) host Mississippi State (4-2, 0-2 SEC) Saturday in its annual homecoming game.
ESPN and SEC Network reporter Morgan Uber spoke about the mindset of the Gators ahead of its matchup vs. the Bulldogs.
“This entire team, despite a 2-4 record at this point, is still consumed with improvement,” She said. “I think that starts with quarterback DJ Lagway, that is his makeup, that is just how he is wired.”
After throwing five interceptions in a loss to then-No. 3 LSU, Lagway has tossed four touchdowns and one interception in three games since, completing 61.7% of his passes.
Uber noted that through her interviews and the press conferences that the Gators know “this is not the brand of Florida football that we’re used to seeing.”
