COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The Association of Former Students celebrated a 25-year-old tradition Friday, kicking off the fall’s Aggie Ring Day. After this weekend, thousands of students will be sporting new Aggie gold.
In April of 2000, the Association of Former Students took a simple Aggie Ring pickup and turned it into an elaborate celebration. Now, 25 years later, the event has grown into a staple Aggie tradition.
“This year we’re celebrating 25 years of Aggie Ring Day,” Association of Former Students Director of Communication Miranda Henderson said. “It’s been a pleasure to watch the event grow over the years. It’s exciting to be able to celebrate that.”
