Poland’s president, Karol Nawrocki, has approved a new law that removes personal income tax for parents raising at least two children. The move is aimed at supporting families, boosting household income, and stimulating the economy. The bill was presented in August. It removes the income tax obligation for families earning up to 140,000 zloty (€32,973) per year. It applies to all parents with legal responsibility for children, including legal guardians and foster parents. According to calculations by the presidency, an average Polish family is expected to be around 1,000 zloty (€235) better off each month due to the new tax relief.
