The Warriors waived Seth Curry, the brother of two-time MVP and four-time champion Steph Curry, on Saturday ahead of the start of the regular season.
Seth Curry, an 11-year veteran, did not appear in a pre-season game with the team after agreeing to a one-year contract in late September.
Per NBA insider Marc Stein, the expectation is that the Warriors will re-sign him in November once they have “sufficient financial flexibility to bring him back”.
A native of Charlotte, N.C., he averaged 6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists last season with the Hornets while shooting 47.8 per cent from the field and a league-high 45.6 per cent from three-point range on 2.7 attempts per game.
