Balatro and Vampire Survivors are just two of the indie games that became phenomena in the last few years, and I wouldn't be surprised if Ball x Pit followed in their footsteps. It's just recently come out, developed by Kenny Sun (and friends) and published by Devolver Digital, and having bought it on the Nintendo Switch, I fear it will have disastrous consequences for my sleep schedule.

Ball x Pit is exceptionally unique, so it sounds derivative to say it's a combination of Balatro and Vampire Survivors – it's so much more than that , but does share many facets that helped those two explode in popularity.
