PITTSBURGH —

FBI Pittsburgh, along with local, state, and federal partners, arrested 19 "dangerous wanted fugitives" during a five-day operation as part of a nationwide initiative targeting violent crime.

In a release Saturday, officials said between Oct. 6 and 10, FBI Pittsburgh, the United States Marshals Service, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit partnered together to "identify targets, collect intelligence, conduct investigative analysis," and make multiple arrests. The release said while the primary focus of the operation was on the western Pennsylvania region, the arrests connected to this effort took place as far away as North Carolina and Kansas.
