Tumakuru: Former minister K.N. Rajanna has said that powerful political leaders like Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara should demonstrate the courage to contest from a general constituency instead of a reserved seat.

Speaking while presiding over a seminar on the Social and Educational Committee organized by Jagruta Karnataka at the city library premises, Rajanna remarked that senior politician K.H. Ranganath had once contested and won from the general Lok Sabha constituency of Chitradurga.

“Compared to him, Dr. Parameshwara possesses both financial strength and caste backing. Leaders of such stature should develop the capability and confidence to win from a general seat,” Rajanna stated.
