17 held for ‘liquor party’ in Surat

THE SURAT Police on Friday evening raided a rented apartment in a high-rise in the posh Vesu area and arrested 17 youths, several of whom were allegedly in an inebriated state at the time. They were booked under relevant sections of the Prohibition Act.

A resident of the building called the Surat police on Friday night to report a gathering of youths at an apartment and complained of “loud noise.”

Later, all 17 youths were taken to a hospital for blood tests, police said.
