Two 12-year-old children were found several weeks after they went missing

Jaiden Anthony and Jordynn Jones were last seen on Sept. 24

The department put out an advisory asking the public's help to locate the teens on Oct. 15

Additional information tied to how the two went missing, as well as how and where they were found, has yet to be released

Two children who went missing weeks ago have been found.

Jaiden Anthony and Jordynn Jones, both 12, have been "located" after they disappeared in late September, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department (LASD) announced in an alert.

"Thank you to the public, the media, Aero Bureau, and deputy personnel for their tireless efforts in the search for Jaiden and Jordynn Jones," the LASD said.
