Sujeet Kumar, a Professor at Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, was slapped by Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) joint secretary Deepika Jha. The moment was captured on a CCTV camera, and the video has gone viral on social media.

The Democratic Teachers Front (DTF) claimed that during a dispute on Wednesday, Jha hit Professor Kumar of the Commerce Department, who also serves as the chair of the college's disciplinary committee, inside the principal's office.

Kumar claimed that he was forced to resign "on the spot" when tensions escalated, and that Jha then allegedly got up from her chair and hit him.
