ANN ARBOR – Three interceptions helped Michigan football best Wisconsin in a scrappy 24-7 win Saturday.

The Wolverines’ defense bounced back from a brutal defeat at the hands of USC last Saturday, holding the Huskies to just 249 yards and one touchdown. Washington’s dual-threat quarterback, Demond Williams Jr., was held to 209 yards throwing, negative-19 yards rushing and threw all three picks.

The first interception, caught by safety Cole Sullivan late in the third quarter, was a turning point, setting Michigan up inside the UW red zone for the Wolverines’ second touchdown, a 14-yard run by Jordan Marshall.

Quarterback Bryce Underwood was 21 of 27 for 230 yards and two touchdown passes.
