Playboi Carti was charged with misdemeanor assault after he was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend and limo driver earlier this month.

Authorities claim the limousine driver, Carl Reynolds, reported that the incident went down in Park City, Utah, on Oct. 2, when he attempted to transport the rapper and his girlfriend from their hotel to their rehearsal location, per TMZ .

During the drive, Reynolds claimed Carti (born Jordan Terrell Carter) started arguing with his girlfriend, prompting him to intervene.

At one point during the altercation, Reynolds then said he was struck, so he decided to pull over to a safer location in Heber City.

The driver also claimed Carti’s security became involved to separate the altercation.
