NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - In the last 24-hours, the Storm Prediction Center has expanded and shifted the areas that could see severe weather for Saturday.

Below is the overall expectation for severe weather with much of the south included and expanding all the way up to parts of Wisconsin.

Closer to our neck of the woods, most of the North Shore, parts of the South Shore and our Mississippi counties are seeing a MARGINAL RISK (LEVEL 1) for severe weather on Saturday, but small portions of Washington parish and Pearl River county are upped to a SLIGHT RISK (LEVEL 2). \

The coastal areas still have the chance at seeing some thunderstorms on Saturday.

The main threats for Saturday's storms will be damaging wind gusts up to 60-mph and the possibility for a few tornadoes, but there's also a low
