Brian Kelly buyout, contract details as LSU Tigers coach

Brian Kelly became one of the highest-paid coaches in college football in 2021. The 10-year, $95 million deal came when the school initially hired him to be in Baton Rouge. Since then, he has a 34-13 record overall, including 19-9 in SEC play.

LSU started the 2025 season with a big 17-10 win over then-No. 4 Clemson. Kelly's team stacked up another three wins over Louisana Tech, Florida, and SE Louisiana before a 24-19 loss to Ole Miss. They bounced back last week against South Carolina, but couldn't take care of Vanderbilt with another loss on Saturday.
